The Southwest Georgia Writing Project

We are at the Web Presence Retreat hosted by NWP in Denver, Colorado, and boy are they blowing our minds.  We're thinking really hard and asking really hard questions about our site and the work we do.  Our follow up meeting next Saturday (May 9, 2009) is going to be just as crazy.  Leadership team, please make sure to be there because we have some interesting work ahead of us.

Thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of all of you out there, we've got a great number of SI participants for our week long institute.  If you have more people to suggest, remember that it isn't going to be a full summer's work this time as we have had some budgeting changes.  We are doing one week of intense work, but this summer's participants will be invited back next summer to go through the full experience.

We are bursting at the seams this summer for the Youth Writing Project in Americus, and we've heard rumblings of a new Youth Writing Project growing up in Albany, Georgia with Deb Green.  We're growing, so watch out for more new developments!
