The Southwest Georgia Writing Project

We're almost there guys.  Summer Institute starts on Monday, and we have some great things planned for you this year.  With just one week, we had to be really careful on what we chose to do, so we only picked our best lessons to share.  I for one am super excited to have the chance to go back to some of our golden oldies that have never let us down. 

Right after SI ends, Dr. E and I will be on a plane out to Chico, California to check out how they do business.  After Brennan's great post, we're excited to hit the bricks ourselves. 

We want to give a big thanks to first year Youth Writing Project director, Keisha Hobbs.  The week ended yesterday with a fantastic celebration.  Parents came and the kids shared their work from the week, and I think it is safe to call last week a great success.  Thanks again Keisha!  You did a fantastic job.
